We’re a big event on the little Channel Island of Alderney. Our aim is simple, and our ethos is easy – we raise the roof whilst raising money for charity; we Rock the Rock in aid of those who need it and we get the whole community involved!

Borne from a love of music, and our island, ART’s Rock the Rock was created to bring something different to Alderney and the Channel Islands. Fuelled by volunteers, fantastic live music, good old Alderney energy (and a drink or two!), we cordially invite you to join us in rocking the rock at this year’s ROCK THE ROCK.

This year we’ll be rocking right in the middle of the world-renowned ALDERNEY WEEK!

Let us entertain you on WEDNESDAY 8th AUGUST 2018!

Join us on Wednesday 9th August from 6pm for:

* THE STONES Rolling Stones Tribute

* RULE THE WORLD Take That Tribute

*The Fling – Alderney’s favourite covers band *

Tickets for this year’s show are on sale now for £20

Tickets are on sale from the Visitor Information Centre or The Alderney Centre on Victoria Street.

We will also be selling on our stall on Cavalcade Day on The Butes – you can also purchase on the door on the night!

Wednesday 8th August 2018 – Rock The Rock gates open at 6pm and the event finishes at midnight.

Rock The Rock is located at the Butes Field – Alderney, Channel Islands.

Various food vendors will be on site providing lovely hot and cold food, from gourmet burgers, fries, sandwiches & hotdogs to a selection of vegetarian offerings.

We will have a fully licensed bar on site, serving real ales, lager, bottled beers, cider, various spirits and soft drinks.

ID will be requested if you look too young to be served at the bar.

ART is the Alderney Rock Trust, a charitable team of music lovers and Alderney residents, set up by Dougal Bohan and his daughter Jen, to raise money for Alderney Cancer Relief and local charities on the island of Alderney.

In 2016, ART decided that it was time to change; new branding and a slightly different schedule of events and musicians saw X Factor’s Sam Bailey, Jeff Brown and the Original JukeBox Heroes, impersonator and comedian Jon Clegg, as well as a plethora of Jersey’s finest musicians all take to the stage to rock the rock. The two day event was open to all ages and over 1500 came up to the Butes field over the course of the weekend.

2017 was a fantastic year where we crammed hundreds of people into the Butes Marquee to watch local covers band The Fling alongside three international tribute acts – HRH Queen, Mike Andrews as Robbie Williams and The Jailhouse Blues Brothers.

2018 gives us a plethora of music smack bang in the middle of Alderney Week with our TRIBUTES on the BUTES – a phenomenal line-up of the UK’s best leading Tribute Acts along with local musicians to really Rock the Rock!

Safe to say, ART has catapulted itself into the Channel Island’s summer calendar and this year, we hope to see even more people come together for an incredible event…

Beautiful beaches by day and quality entertainment by night!

Without the support from everyone who buys tickets and comes along to Rock the Rock, we wouldn’t be able to do any of it – so, on behalf of the charities we support and from the ART Rock the Rock team across the Channel Islands, THANK YOU!

ART has always, and will always, raise money for local charities – here are a few words from one of the causes we support, Alderney Cancer Relief…

“ART and ACR together provide a much appreciated service to Alderney. Most islanders have in some way or other been touched by the effects of cancer and this has been the catalyst in many giving freely of their time, energy, talents and in many cases their hard earned cash in particularly supporting the work of ACR.

The ART team galvanises together an enthusiastic group of volunteers. They have over the last few years developed both expertise and professionalism to stage popular fund raising events culminating in their annual Rock the Rock concerts staged in August. The live concerts are also a great asset to the island’s holiday programme providing an extension to the traditional “Alderney Week” attraction. The island is at its busiest and showcases the uniqueness and quality of life that we who live here enjoy and need to promote to help our economy. This whether it be ACR or other services requires the island and its friends to support such causes, and ACR and its beneficiaries are indebted to ART for their support.”
